Seymour Duncan's SA-3SC Woody SC boasts an easy and budget-friendly way to amplify your steel-string acoustic guitar for both live performances and in the studio. Simply mount the SA-3SC in the sound hole of your guitar to enjoy this fantastic-sounding pickup, which is made of gorgeous maple wood to complement your instrument. What's more, the SA-3SC is plug-and-play, so you don't need to perform any modifications beforehand! This single-coil version of the Seymour Duncan Woody has a bright, sparkling single-coil sound which is perfect for rhythm parts and subtle finger picking.
Using the Seymour Duncan SA-3HC Woody
This pickup is perfect for singer-songwriters and folk rhythm guitarists in particular. The moderate output of the SA-H3 offers plenty to amplify, while allowing you to blend the sound of your guitar with your vocals or other instruments. Like any other Woody-series pickup, the SA-3HC fits virtually any sound hole with a diameter between 95 and 102 mm. The pickup itself is fitted with a studio-quality cable that's 4.2 metres long and has a top-notch Neutrik jack connector. This you can use to plug your guitar into an amp or directly into the mixer or PA.

Okey.. Ik had dus niet goed gelezen,
Dit element is dus niet geschikt voor nylon snarige gitaren, wat ik dus heb...
Gelukkig een goede vriend die wel een staalsnarige gitaar heeft waar ik dit element op heb kunnen testen en ik moet toch eerlijk zeggen dat de klank hiervan ver boven verwachting is.
Een goed breed geluid, zowel in het hoog als in het laag.
Het installeren van het element is ook zeer gemakkelijk.
Als je een staalsnarige gitaar hebt zonder element, en je zoekt een goed en goedkoop alternatief is dit zeker een aanrader.
Ik was aanvankelijk wat wantrouwig wat betreft de klank van zulk element. Ik heb namelijk al een dreadnought mét ingebouwde elektronica. Nadat ik enkele reviews had gelezen over deze "woody", heb ik die besteld bij BAX en geplaatst in mijn Art en Lutherie folkgitaar. Ik moet zeggen dat ik verwonderd ben over de kwaliteit van deze inzet-pick-up. Klinkt heel goed, ik mis wel een beetje midden en scherp, doch voor de prijs van deze pick-up is dit topkwaliteit. Ik zou hem zeker aanbevelen ...
De SA-3SC is eenvoudig te plaatsen in mijn dreadnought gitaar. Het probleem zit in de snaren die op de meeste staalsnarige akoestische gitaren worden gebruikt. De brons gewikkelde snaren klinken heel zacht en dof, doordat ze onvoldoende magnetische eigenschappen bezitten voor dit type gitaar pick-up. De oplossing is speciale snaren gebruiken (bijvoorbeeld GHS acoustic electric snaren). Maar deze verkopen ze bij de BAX-shop helaas (nog) niet.

Ik heb liever de niet-ruisende variant. Deze ruist namelijk erg veel naar mijn smaak. Bouwkwaliteit is wel echt top.
